San Ramon (USA)/Shanghai (China). August 25, 2020. Shanghai Intelligent Building Technology (SIBT) will hold its 14th edition in Shanghai New International Expo Centre. From September 2 – 4, 2020, the EnOcean Alliance, along with its members, will present applications for maintenance-free wireless sensor solutions for smart buildings and smart spaces based on the EnOcean wireless standard (ISO/IEC 14543-3-X).
Being known as the leading platform for China’s intelligent building industry, the SIBT organizers have collaborated with the Intelligent Engineering Branch of the China Exploration and Design Association to present innovative intelligent building technologies and solutions related to IoT, cloud computing, big data, building energy efficiency, energy management systems, and intelligent hotels. SIBT aims to cultivate new building concepts that will help realize the ultimate goal of widespread sustainable buildings.
At their joint booth W5 H23, EnOcean Alliance member companies Aruba, Becker Antriebstechnik, Contemporary Controls, Interfühler & Thermokon, MACO, Menred, Rutronik & EnOcean as well as Winshine demonstrate how their solutions for smart buildings and smart spaces create a highly comfortable working and living environment, resulting in better health and productivity, more efficient use of energy as well as in a higher level of security and smart services such as occupancy monitoring.
A strong eco-system
The EnOcean Alliance, which has more than 400 members worldwide, is one of the most successful alliances in the area of smart building monitoring and control. The non-profit organization is committed to enabling and promoting interoperable, maintenance-free and proven eco-systems based on the wireless EnOcean radio standard (ISO/IEC 14543-3-X). The EnOcean Alliance eco-system offers more than 5.000 multi-vendor interoperable product variants, with new ones being added all the time.
Thanks to their standardized sensor profiles, the products can be combined with each other. These interoperable system solutions for monitoring and controlling smart buildings lower installation and maintenance costs and provide significant benefits when it comes to energy savings, comfort and security. In addition, the EnOcean based maintenance-free wireless sensors enable data collection for multiple applications, such as room or desk/chair occupancy, temperature and air quality, energy usage and restroom usage. Data can be provided in real-time via an IoT gateway to an IoT cloud platform for analysis, whilst a dashboard visualizes the results for decision-makers and building owners.
EnOcean Alliance seminar
The EnOcean Alliance SIBT presence will be complemented by the seminar “Bringing IoT into Smart Spaces”. On September 2nd, 2020, from 13:45 – 16:00 (CST), EnOcean Alliance and its member companies’ representatives will be showing the latest solutions for energy harvesting wireless sensors in smart spaces.
