San Ramon, CA, USA (24.05.2023) – The EnOcean Alliance strengthens its member pool with a renowned new addition. JUNG is a premium supplier of modern building technology from all areas of modern electrical installation. Together, the EnOcean Alliance and JUNG are driving the further development of smart building solutions based on the EnOcean wireless standard (ISO/IEC 14543-3-10/11).
For three generations, Albrecht Jung GmbH, based in Schalksmühle in the German Sauerland region, has lived by the motto « progress as tradition ». Both aspects, the preservation of traditions and values as well as the investment in research and sustainable technologies, are deeply rooted parts of the company’s DNA. The company’s origins date back to 1912, when electro-mechanic Albrecht Jung revolutionized the market with the invention of a then-novel pull-light switch. Exactly 111 years later, JUNG continues to make its mark with innovative electrical engineering, such as in the new wireless smart home system JUNG HOME, built on conventional electrical installation. However, the company has always remained true to its original product. Its « heart » continues to be the switches to this day.

Product diversity for smart building solutions
Deniz Turgut, Global Head of Marketing, explains: « JUNG stands for a timeless and above all durable design worldwide. This applies not only to the mechanical control elements in building technology, but also to the smart home solutions. Especially the openness in the colorful world of systems is indispensable. We emphasize this openness with our switches in the EnOcean system and look forward to membership. »
Graham Martin, chairman and CEO of the EnOcean Alliance, continues: « The market for smart building solutions in the commercial and residential sectors is evolving dynamically. Customers are becoming more diverse and so are their requirements. Given this background, the depth and width of the available product portfolio are becoming increasingly important. In addition to tradition and experience with modern building technology, JUNG brings an enormous variety of products to the Alliance. In the case of light switches alone, there are 469 variants, which is a perfect match for us. We are very pleased to welcome JUNG to our Alliance. »
